The AMS 2 Pro is designed to work with Bambu Lab printers, but accessory requirements vary by model. Some printers may require a switching adapter, AMS hub, filament buffer, or other connection accessories. Can the AMS 2 Pro dry filament by itself? No. The AMS 2 Pro cannot perform standalone drying without being connected to a printer through the 6-pin bus cable. The printer must be powered on and set to filament drying mode. Do I need a switching adapter? It depends on your printer. A1, P1, and X1 series printers require one switching adapter for each AMS 2 Pro unit when using the drying function. H2, P2, and X2D printers can power one AMS 2 Pro unit for drying without a switching adapter. What filaments are not supported? The AMS 2 Pro does not support TPE, generic TPU, damp PVA, damp BVOH, Bambu PET-CF, Bambu TPU 95A, or other unsupported carbon-fiber or glass-fiber filled materials. What is included in the box? The box includes one AMS 2 Pro, desiccant, PTFE tubes, and a Bambu Bus Cable 6-pin. Additional accessories may be required depending on your printer model and setup.
