In terms of security, the American Security Vault Door VD8030BF has a two-inch thick door constructed with a 1/2" steel plate combined with 1" DryLight insulation. On the door lies a UL listed Group II lock with a spy-proof ring with the option to upgrade to an electronic lock. Behind the lock lies a tough hardplate and two relocking devices to ensure extra protection during an attack. Please note that the LP Redundant Lock cannot be installed on a left hand swing door. It can be installed on right inward and outward swing door ONLY. A NEW, advanced feature added on all American Security Vault Door Sizes is the Panic Room Lockout Feature. This enhanced lockout feature allows the user to safely lock themselves inside their panic room, despite the lock combination being entered from outside.
