Amydrium Medium Green Amydrium Medium was described by Nicolson and ranges widely across Southeast Asia — Borneo, Java, Maluku, Myanmar, Peninsular Malaysia, the Philippines, Sumatra, and Thailand — growing as a climbing, primarily epiphytic aroid. This is the standard green-leaved form of the species. Like other Amydrium, it's distinguished within its tribe by having two ovules per ovary and characteristically heart-shaped seeds, and its leaves often develop the perforations typical of the genus. Note: as a freshly imported bare-root plant, this specimen typically arrives with just a few leaves — the photo shows a more mature, fuller specimen for reference. Care tip: Give it a pole or trellis to climb — like most Amydrium, this species produces larger, more mature, perforated leaves once it has a vertical support to ascend. Give it bright indirect light, a well-draining aroid mix, and water once the top of the soil has dried. As with most climbing aroids, humidity and consistent warmth support the best leaf development.
