In Sacred Crystals' Teaching Amethyst is the one stone to have if you only owned one stone. It is both a stone of spiritual connection (Crown Chakra) and earth connection (Root Chakra). It is known as the Serenity Stone because it often helps us to release old negative habits so that we can shift forward into the best version of ourselves. Amethyst helps to calm the mind and ease anxiety. It works in the emotional, spiritual, and physical plane to provide balance, patience, and peace. It is also a fierce protector — the beautiful purple stone that is often used in jewelry making has a long history as a protective talisman worn in rings and pendants to guard the wearer from life's dangers. Amethyst works with all the energy centers of the body for the highest good of the individual. It can see your true potential and guide you to fulfilling it. It understands that we are frail, and gives unto us its strength. Chakras: All, with Crown and Root named specifically. What Makes This Piece Stone: natural Amethyst Metal: 925 sterling silver Style: open triple dangle earrings Sold as a set — earrings and pendant together — the set pictured, one in stock Birthstone: February About the Stone Amethyst is quartz with iron inclusions that give it its color; the most coveted deep purple comes from Uruguay, though some Brazilian amethyst rivals it. Madagascar amethyst is the same stone with a different look. Wearing & Care Put earrings on last, after perfume, lotion and hairspray, and take them off for showers, swimming and sleep. Keep the pair together in a pouch so the stones don't rub against other jewelry. Sterling silver tarnishes slowly in air; a silver polishing cloth keeps it bright. Amethyst's purple fades with long hours in direct sun — it is the stone Vero uses to teach the rule. Keep it out of the window.
