Embossed anaglypta "leatherette"—decorated with Anglo-Moorish scrollwork—wraps this paperboard presentation box from the early Twentieth Century. Perhaps it held cigars, candies, o r some other precious offering. While not made to be durable, this box has held-up in remarkably good condition for more than a century. The box shows a few little nicks—and a fairly discreet ring-shaped impression on the cover (see detail photo). Use this box to store (or present) special photographs, letters or greeting cards.
