This was a fun and challenging print coming from a photo I took at Stonehenge in England. The small 4"x6" scale of this, which is printed on watercolor paper, made capturing as much detail as possible, or at the very least, the essence of the stonework pretty difficult. I had pre-planned watercolor paper so that I could apply the grass in the foreground and the all enveloping grey sky after the print had dried. to avoid bleeding of colors between the three sections, careful application of the paints were necessary. The run of this series that is hand watercolored post print has been limited to a run of ten pieces, all of which are numbered and are inherently unique due to ink and paint application.
