Ancon Staifix STF is a well-established and trusted cranked stainless steel wall tie for timber frame construction, providing a reliable mechanical connection between the masonry outer leaf and the timber-framed inner structure. The cranked design does two important jobs, it makes correct installation much more straightforward on site, and it prevents moisture from tracking across the cavity, helping to maintain the thermal and moisture performance of the wall. Manufactured from high quality stainless steel for long term corrosion resistance and durability. Each tie is supplied complete with an annular ring shank nail for fixing to the timber frame. The STF has also been independently tested for use with 15mm OSB SIPS panels — in this application the standard nail should be replaced with a 4 x 30mm stainless steel Spax screw.
