Organic | Mendoza | I.G. Los Chacayes Andillian Malbec is our gateway to the Uco Valley - fresh, expressive wines that reflect the altitude and natural diversity of Los Chacayes. C rafted from organically farmed vineyards and guided by meticulous plot selection, the range showcases purity, vibrancy, and the distinctive spice, tension, and fruit intensity that define this Andean terroir. WINEMAKING Following a hand picked selection of grapes from across the estate, there is a pre-ferment carbonic maceration for 5 days. Fermentation then takes place in 50% in stainless steel vats and 50% in oval concrete vats followed by a period of skin contact post-fermentation. The wine is aged for a further 6 months in French oak barrels. TASTINGDeep ruby red in colour, Andillian Malbec is intense on the nose with aromas of spice such as thyme and jarilla typical of the fields of Los Chacayes, with notes of red fruits such as wild strawberries, blackberries and plum.
