The Eighth Wonder of the World, the babyfaced-fan-favorite-turned-heel, and, in every sense of the term, the true giant of wrestling—let it be known, Big John Studd fans—André the Giant will forever stand as one of wrestling’s most colossal and charismatic figures André René Roussimoff, all 7’4” 500+ pounds, used his outsized stature to inflict some of the biggest beatdowns in wrestling history throughout his 15-year unbeaten streak and then on main rival Hulk Hogan, the one wrestler who broke the streak. A full brute squad unto himself, André delivered elbow drops, bodyslams and the occasional headbutt en route to the World Heavyweight Champion and Tag Team Champion titles. But outside the ring, there wasn't a gentler man. Pay homage to the inaugural inductee to the WWE Hall of Fame.
