Each item is handmade, no molds or pre-made materials (except for the gold-filled findings). Earrings are made in small batches, and no two geode patterns are the same. HOW THEY ARE MADE:Each piece begins with a block of clay. I choose the color palette and designs. I utilize cutters for shapes, but all petals on the flowers are cut individually, textured one at a time, and placed on the design one by one. Once baked in the oven, polymer clay is flexible yet durable and extremely lightweight. Then each piece is carefully inspected, sanded if needed, and edges cleaned up. Some styles have UV resin applied. Some earring posts are affixed with resin, some are embedded with clay (which means they go into the oven for a second baking). Each piece is made with a lot of care, time, detail, and attention. You are investing in wearable art.
