The angular vase is a sustainably made functional piece of art. Hand built and crafted from paper clay cement - a mix of recycled paper pulp and clay powder to create a durable material. Air dried under the suns rays, the material takes on a solid sculptural form with a textured appearance. Hand painted with water based paint, the outer is red earth in colour whilst the inside is an earthy golden yellow ochre. The inside is finished with a protective water resistant coating of natural varnish and the outer with a protective matt spray. The bottom of the vase has a protective cork layer. Dimensions – approximately 25cm in height and 25cm at it's widest point, the opening at the top is 10cm wide and the bottom is 11cm across Please note these items are not water tight, they are a piece of art and intended to hold dry flowers. If you would like to use them to hold fresh flowers you can put water and flowers in a jar and then place that inside the vase - a tall passatta jar works perfectly.
