Animal Essentials · Digestive & Stool Support Natural Pumpkin and Apple Pectin Fiber Supplement for Dogs, a Prebiotic Blend with Soothing Fennel and Peppermint, to Support Firm, Co nsistent Stools and Everyday Digestive Comfort A natural pumpkin and apple pectin fiber powder for dogs, whose prebiotic soluble fiber, combined with soothing fennel and peppermint, supports firm and consistent stools, a balanced gut microbiome, and everyday digestive comfort. Soluble Fiber From Pumpkin & Apple Pectin Prebiotic Gut Microbiome Support Soothing Fennel & Peppermint Herbs NASC Certified & Third-Party Tested If You Have Been Searching For This A good day for a dog often starts with a good poop. When stools swing from too soft to too hard, or a sensitive stomach turns every food change into an adventure, it is hard not to worry. Balanced Poop Formula is a clean, whole-food answer: a natural blend of soluble fiber, prebiotics, and gentle herbs, made by herbalists trusted for over thirty years. Here are the reasons natural-minded households reach for it. "My dog's stools are soft one day and hard the next" Soluble fiber is the natural tool for this. It can firm up a loose stool and soften a hard one, gently nudging digestion back toward consistent, well-formed poops. "My dog gets loose stool during stress, travel, or a food change" This is the kind of everyday disruption a natural fiber and prebiotic blend is made for, a little extra backup to help firm things up during transitions. "I want a natural, whole-food way to add fiber to my dog's diet" This is four whole-food ingredients, pumpkin, apple pectin, fennel, and peppermint, a clean natural source of fiber with no fillers. "My dog gets gassy and has a gurgly, uncomfortable tummy" Fennel and peppermint are traditional carminative herbs, a natural way to help ease gas, bloating, and the discomfort of a sensitive digestive tract. "I want a prebiotic to support my dog's gut microbiome" The soluble fiber in pumpkin and apple pectin acts as a natural prebiotic, feeding the beneficial gut bacteria that a balanced microbiome depends on. "I want a simple, clean digestive supplement with no junk" This is a natural, NASC-certified powder with four functional ingredients and zero fillers, dyes, or preservatives, made for pet parents who read the label. Why Natural-Minded Households Reach For This One clever fiber that works in both directions. The heart of this formula is soluble fiber from pumpkin and apple pectin. Soluble fiber is the versatile kind, because it absorbs excess moisture to firm up a loose stool while simultaneously adding moisture to soften a stool that is too hard, which is why a single natural fiber source can gradually nudge digestion back toward a comfortable middle. That same fiber additionally functions as a prebiotic, nourishing the beneficial bacteria of a healthy gut microbiome. Two classic carminative herbs complete the formula, since fennel seed and peppermint have traditionally been used to relieve gas, bloating, and the gurgly discomfort of a sensitive digestive tract. The overall blend remains clean and honest: four whole-food ingredients, no fillers, and no inactive ingredients whatsoever. What This Looks Like Inside Your Dog's Body Six things a daily scoop does, gently and over time. Picture the dog whose poops swing around, or the one heading into a stressful stretch, because this is steady, everyday support that performs best when given consistently. Here is what a daily amount accomplishes, in plain terms, sprinkled over food or administered directly by mouth. A scoop into the bowl or mouth You give the label amount for a dog's weight, over food or straight by mouth, up to twice daily. The powder is clean, with no fillers, so it slips into almost any meal. Soluble fiber firms up a loose stool The soluble fiber in pumpkin and apple pectin absorbs excess moisture in the gut. It adds gentle bulk, which helps turn a loose, runny stool into a firmer, better-formed one. The same fiber softens a stool that is too hard Soluble fiber also draws in and holds moisture, which softens a stool that is too firm. One natural fiber source can help move digestion back toward a comfortable middle. Prebiotic fiber feeds the gut microbiome That same soluble fiber acts as a natural prebiotic. It feeds the beneficial bacteria that make up a healthy gut microbiome, which is the foundation of steady digestion. Carminative herbs settle gas and bloating Fennel and peppermint are traditional carminative herbs. They have long been used to relax the digestive tract and ease the gas, cramping, and bloating that come with a sensitive stomach. It works best with water, given steadily Fiber does its best work alongside plenty of fresh water, so keep the bowl full. Use it daily for steady balance, or lean on it as needed during a rough patch. Why this blend over the rest of the shelf? It is simple and honest, with a panel that stays refreshingly uncomplicated: four whole-food ingredients, no fillers, and no inactive ingredients at all. It originates from Animal Essentials, an herbalist-founded maker trusted for over thirty years, and they are transparent that this is prebiotic fiber rather than a probiotic, and equally clear about when a digestive problem truly calls for a veterinarian instead. For a label-reader who wants natural, whole-food support with no hand-waving, that candor is the appeal. This is a clean, whole-food fiber blend. It delivers prebiotic soluble fiber from pumpkin and apple pectin, plus soothing fennel and peppermint. Together they support firm, consistent stools, a balanced gut microbiome, and everyday digestive comfort. It mixes right into food and is easy to give. Good digestion shows up in the small, everyday things, starting with a healthy poop. This natural blend of pumpkin, apple pectin, fennel, and peppermint delivers soluble fiber and soothing carminative herbs to support firm, consistent stools and everyday digestive comfort, naturally. The Most Important Thing To Know A simple, whole-food blend that does real work. Four ingredients, and nothing to hide. This is soluble fiber from pumpkin and apple pectin, plus fennel and peppermint, with no fillers and no inactive ingredients at all. What you see on the panel is the whole natural formula, which is exactly how a clean digestive supplement should read. Soluble fiber is the clever kind. It absorbs excess moisture to firm a loose stool and adds moisture to soften a hard one, so one natural fiber source can nudge digestion toward the middle. That same fiber feeds the gut microbiome as a prebiotic, while fennel and peppermint settle gas and bloating. It rewards consistency. Give it daily to keep digestion steady, and keep it on the shelf for the moments that tend to loosen things up. Steady, everyday use is how a natural fiber blend does its best work. What's Inside And Why It Matters Four whole-food ingredients, each with a clear job. This is a clean blend with no inactive ingredients at all, presented here in measured terms, ingredient by ingredient, so you can see exactly what each one contributes. Pumpkin Fruit Powder The Soluble-Fiber Backbone · 700mg Per Gram The backbone of the blend. Pumpkin is rich in soluble fiber, which absorbs excess moisture to help firm up a loose stool and adds gentle bulk for well-formed, consistent poops. That same fiber acts as a natural prebiotic, feeding the beneficial bacteria of a healthy gut microbiome. Apple Pectin Concentrated Prebiotic Soluble Fiber · 100mg Per Gram A concentrated soluble fiber that forms a soft gel in the gut. This is a prebiotic fiber, not a probiotic, so its job is to feed good bacteria and help normalize moisture. It gently slows things during a loose stool while softening one that is too firm, working hand in hand with the pumpkin fiber. Fennel Seed Foeniculum Vulgare · 100mg Per Gram A classic carminative herb, traditionally used to ease gas, cramping, and bloating. It is valued for supporting smooth, comfortable movement through the digestive tract, which helps settle the discomfort that can come with fermentation or a sensitive stomach. Peppermint Mentha Piperita · Whole Herb · 100mg Per Gram Another traditional carminative, used to help relax the muscles of the digestive tract and support comfortable gastric flow. Worth noting for the label-readers: this is whole peppermint herb in a small culinary amount, not concentrated peppermint essential oil, which is a different thing entirely. A Clean, Filler-Free Blend No Fillers, Dyes, Or Preservatives There are no inactive ingredients here, no fillers, dyes, or preservatives. What you see on the panel is the whole formula, which is exactly how a simple, natural digestive supplement should read. An Honest Word On How To Use It Fiber Needs Water, And Knows Its Limits Fiber does its best work alongside plenty of fresh water, so keep the bowl full. And fiber supports normal, everyday digestion. It is not a fix for a truly sick gut, so an ongoing or severe problem belongs with a vet, not a scoop of fiber. More on that below. Simple, clean, and easy to give The blend mixes right into food or goes straight by mouth, and most dogs take it without a fuss. It is NASC certified, third-party tested, and made in the USA with globally sourced ingredients. No fillers, no preservatives, just four natural whole-food ingredients from a maker trusted for over thirty years. What To Look For How to choose a natural fiber supplement worth giving. Not every fiber powder is built the same, and the label does not always communicate the full story, so four distinct qualities separate a natural blend worth trusting from the rest, and here is what to look for, along with how this one measures up on each. Soluble fiber from whole foods Soluble fiber is the kind that works in both directions, firming a loose stool and softening a hard one. Look for whole-food sources like pumpkin and apple pectin. Natural soluble fiber from pumpkin and apple pectin A true prebiotic, clearly labeled Prebiotic fiber feeds good bacteria; a probiotic supplies the bacteria. They are different jobs. Look for a maker who names them correctly rather than blurring the two. Honest that apple pectin is a prebiotic fiber, not a probiotic No fillers or junk Many powders pad the tub with fillers. Look for a clean panel where every ingredient has a purpose and there are no dyes or preservatives to work around. Four ingredients, zero fillers or inactive ingredients Third-party tested and certified Independent testing and a recognized certification tell you a supplement is what the label claims. Look for NASC certification and third-party purity testing. NASC certified and third-party tested When To Use It Made for firm, consistent stools and everyday comfort. Inconsistent, swinging stools For the dog whose poops run soft one day and hard the next, soluble fiber gently nudges digestion back toward a consistent, well-formed middle. Stress, travel, and food changes These everyday disruptions tend to loosen things up. A natural fiber and prebiotic blend gives a little extra backup to help firm stools during transitions. Everyday gut microbiome support The soluble fiber acts as a natural prebiotic, feeding the beneficial bacteria a balanced, healthy microbiome depends on, a quiet daily habit for gut health. A gassy, gurgly tummy For the dog with a sensitive stomach, the carminative herbs fennel and peppermint offer a natural way to ease gas, bloating, and gurgly discomfort. When it is not the right tool Fiber is for everyday ups and downs, not a sick gut. Severe or ongoing diarrhea or constipation, blood in the stool, vomiting, low energy, or a dog straining and unable to pass anything all need a vet, since those can point to a parasite, infection, or blockage. See the honest notes below. Is This Right For Your Dog? This belongs in your cabinet if your dog meets these. Has inconsistent stools that swing between too soft and too hard Gets loose stool during stress, travel, or a change in food Could use a natural, whole-food source of daily fiber Would benefit from prebiotic support for a balanced gut microbiome Gets gassy or has a gurgly, uncomfortable tummy Does well with a clean, filler-free powder mixed into food Needs everyday digestive support, not treatment for an active illness Is not dealing with severe or ongoing diarrhea, blood, or vomiting, which need a vet Is not straining and unable to pass stool, which is a vet visit, not a fiber issue Is not pregnant or nursing, without a vet's okay, given the active herbs How To Give It A daily amount, in food or straight by mouth. This is a clean powder that mixes easily into a meal. Give the amount printed on the label for a dog's weight, up to twice daily, sprinkled over food, stirred into a little water or broth, or given directly by mouth. Each gram provides 700mg pumpkin fruit powder, 100mg apple pectin, 100mg fennel seed, and 100mg peppermint. Follow the label for the amount. Give the amount listed on the tub for a dog's weight, up to twice daily. Use it every day for steady support, or as needed during a rough patch. In food or direct. Sprinkle it over a meal, stir it into a little water or broth, or give it straight by mouth. Most dogs take it without a fuss. Introduce it gradually, and keep water handy. Ease it in over a few days so digestion can adjust, and keep the water bowl full, since soluble fiber works best with plenty of moisture. Storage. Store sealed in a cool, dry place away from direct light, and keep it out of reach of pets to avoid overconsumption. Works Well With Pair it with support that works through other systems. Balanced Poop Formula is a prebiotic fiber and carminative-herb blend, so its best companions approach wellness from complementary angles rather than duplicating what it already provides. Avoid stacking a second bulking-fiber product on top of it, and let this remain your single fiber source. Wholistic Pet Organics WholeBiotics The natural partner. A prebiotic and a probiotic work as a team. The soluble fiber here feeds beneficial bacteria, while WholeBiotics supplies the bacteria themselves, so together they make a complementary, non-overlapping synbiotic pairing. Animal Essentials Slippery Elm Herbal Tonic Slippery elm brings soothing mucilage that coats and calms the gut lining, a different mechanism from bulking fiber. It complements this blend for a dog who needs extra natural digestive comfort. Wholistic Pet Organics Canine Complete A whole-food daily multivitamin lays a broad nutritional foundation. Balanced Poop adds targeted fiber and digestive support on top, a natural fit for everyday wellness. One fiber source at a time. Balanced Poop Formula is a bulking soluble-fiber blend, so let it be your one fiber supplement rather than layering a second on top. Stacking two bulking fibers can overshoot and leave a dog constipated or uncomfortable. Pair it instead with support that works through a different system, like a probiotic, a soothing herb, or a whole-food multivitamin. Questions And Answers Everything you want to know before you buy. what is a natural fiber supplement for dogs A natural fiber supplement adds whole-food fiber to a dog's diet to support healthy, consistent stools and gut balance. Balanced Poop Formula does this with soluble fiber from pumpkin and apple pectin, plus soothing fennel and peppermint. It is a clean, filler-free way to support everyday digestion, and it provides support for normal stools rather than functioning as a treatment for a digestive illness. what is a natural way to firm up a dog's stool Soluble fiber is the natural go-to. It absorbs excess moisture and adds bulk, which helps turn a loose stool into a firmer, better-formed one. Pumpkin and apple pectin are two of the most trusted soluble fiber sources for this. If loose stool is severe, bloody, or lasts more than a day or two, or a dog seems unwell, that calls for a vet rather than fiber alone. is natural pumpkin good for a dog's digestion Yes, pumpkin is one of the most loved natural digestive helpers for dogs. Its soluble fiber absorbs excess moisture to firm loose stools and adds gentle bulk for consistency, while acting as a prebiotic that feeds healthy gut bacteria. Balanced Poop Formula concentrates that benefit into an easy powder, so you skip the canned pumpkin and get a measured, whole-food amount. what is a natural prebiotic for dogs A prebiotic is a fiber that feeds the beneficial bacteria living in a dog's gut, helping a healthy microbiome thrive. The soluble fiber in pumpkin and apple pectin acts as a natural prebiotic, which is different from a probiotic, since a probiotic supplies the bacteria themselves rather than nourishing them. The two work beautifully together, which is why a prebiotic fiber and a probiotic make a natural pairing. what natural supplement supports a dog's gut health Gut health rests on good fiber, a balanced microbiome, and a calm, comfortable digestive tract. Balanced Poop Formula supports all three: soluble fiber for stool quality, prebiotics to feed good bacteria, and carminative herbs to settle gas and bloating. Pair it with a quality diet and a vet's guidance for any ongoing digestive problem. does natural fiber help a dog's loose stool Often, yes. Soluble fiber absorbs excess water in the gut, which helps firm up a loose or runny stool and add bulk. Pumpkin and apple pectin are classic choices for exactly this. That said, loose stool that is severe, bloody, or persistent, or that comes with vomiting or low energy, needs a vet, since it can signal a parasite, infection, or other issue that fiber will not fix. is natural fiber safe for dogs For most dogs, whole-food soluble fiber is safe and gentle for daily use. The keys are to introduce it gradually and keep fresh water available, since fiber works best with moisture. Balanced Poop Formula uses simple, food-based fiber with no fillers. Check with a vet before use in a dog who is pregnant or nursing, given the active herbs, or if a dog has an ongoing digestive condition. what natural herbs help a dog's gas and bloating Carminative herbs are the traditional answer, and fennel and peppermint are two of the best known. Both are traditionally used to relax the digestive tract and ease gas, cramping, and bloating. Balanced Poop Formula pairs them with soluble fiber, so it supports both stool quality and a more comfortable, less gassy tummy in one clean, natural blend. what is a natural digestive supplement for dogs A natural digestive supplement uses whole foods and herbs to support digestion. Balanced Poop Formula is a good example: pumpkin and apple pectin for fiber and prebiotics, fennel and peppermint for comfort, and nothing else. It is designed for everyday support of firm stools and an easy tummy, not a treatment for a digestive disease, which is a job for a vet. what is pumpkin good for in a dog's diet Pumpkin is prized mainly for its soluble fiber, which helps firm loose stools, add bulk for consistency, and feed beneficial gut bacteria as a prebiotic. It is one of the gentlest, most whole-food ways to support a dog's digestion. Balanced Poop Formula gives you that benefit in a measured powder, alongside apple pectin and settling herbs, without opening a can. What's in Balanced Poop Formula? Four active ingredients per gram: pumpkin fruit powder 700mg, apple pectin 100mg, fennel seed 100mg, and peppermint 100mg. There are no inactive ingredients, no fillers, dyes, or preservatives. Together they provide soluble fiber, prebiotics, and carminative herbs. It is NASC certified, third-party tested, and made in the USA. How do I give it? Give the amount on the label for a dog's weight, sprinkled over food, stirred into a little water or broth, or given directly by mouth, up to twice daily. Introduce it gradually and keep fresh water available, since soluble fiber works best with moisture. You can use it every day for steady support or as needed during a rough patch. Is it safe, and are there any cautions? It is gentle and suited to daily use for most dogs. Introduce it slowly and keep water available. The cautions that matter: severe or ongoing diarrhea or constipation, blood in the stool, vomiting, low energy, or a dog straining and unable to pass stool all need a vet, not a fiber supplement; ongoing diarrhea can dehydrate a puppy or senior dog quickly; and check with a vet before use in a dog who is pregnant or nursing, given the active herbs. When should I see a vet instead of reaching for fiber? Fiber is for everyday, minor ups and downs. See a vet if diarrhea or constipation is severe or lasts more than a day or two, if there is blood in the stool, or if a dog is vomiting, lethargic, in pain, or straining without producing anything. Those signs can point to parasites, infection, pancreatitis, or a blockage, which need real diagnosis and care. Fiber supports a healthy gut, but it does not replace veterinary care for a sick one.
