Anise Hyssop is an aromatic culinary herb prized for its vibrant mint-green leaves and delicate purple blossoms, offering a naturally sweet flavor profile reminiscent of anise, licorice, fennel, and mild mint. Its soft herbal sweetness and floral top notes make it exceptionally versatile in both savory and sweet applications. For chefs, Anise Hyssop delivers a refined aromatic accent that pairs beautifully with stone fruits, citrus, melon, berries, honey, chocolate, and vanilla, while also complementing duck, pork, lamb, seafood, root vegetables, and fresh cheeses. The leaves can be used fresh as a finishing herb, infused into syrups, teas, vinaigrettes, oils, and cocktails, or incorporated into desserts and pastry work for a subtle botanical complexity. The edible purple flowers provide an elegant garnish with a lightly sweet herbal fragrance, making the plant especially attractive for upscale plating, farm-to-table cuisine, botanical beverages, and modern tasting menus. Its visual appeal, intense fragrance, and layered flavor profile make Anise Hyssop a standout ingredient for chefs seeking distinctive fresh herbs with both culinary and aesthetic value. --- Our Large Plug sizing represents 10-12 weeks since germination, with plant lengths of 12-18 inches and flowering buds.
