Details Ann Verhelst is a Belgian fashion designer, best known for her brand, Ann Demeulemeester. She attended the Antwerp Royal Academy of Fine Arts, which she graduated from in 1981, becoming a member of an iconic Antwerp Six - a group of 6 alumni, that presented an innovative approach to the material, deconstruction, introducing ethnic symbols, and using recycling in fashion. The show was met with an amazing response, and all of the designers got an incredible start to developing their own careers. Rendered in a cotton-wool gabardine, this single-breasted outerwear piece has peak lapels, long sleeves, an arm patch with artwork by Odilon Redon, button cuffs, a rear split hem, two front flap pockets, and front button closure. It comes from the Autumn Winter 2019 collection.
