Anna's ar tistic pursuits are an honest study of the world around her. She is always striving to explore life from the perspective of creation, inspired by the artistically progressive community of her home state, and the wonder-filled privilege of this life. In 2018, Anna underwent a lifesaving heart-lung transplant. After an unexpectedly arduous 8-month hospital stay, her recovery is still continuing over a year later. Throughout this season, Anna’s art has been integral to her progress, and contributes heavily to every aspect of her resilience and unrelenting hope. Anna's work is centered on poetic expression. Her words and illustrations both reflect a deeper narrative that Anna is continuing to explore. Some of the themes that can easily be traced through Anna's work include: grief, the brevity of life, complex femininity, and the intense calling towards purpose that comes with being human. Show more
