Leaden, a nest cast in lead on a free-floating lath shelf. Series of 10 nests, each sold separately. "A year in paces, a morning ritual of walking has led me to collect numerous b ird nests from the thickets along Ottawa’s waterways. In this piece, I have cast each nest in lead salvaged from the torn out ironwork of Parliament Hill— an act of preservation at the perceived fragility of a tiny sanctuary and an exploration of the weighted concept of home and domesticity."
