This window transfer features a design taken from our Museum collection. 'Annunciation to the Virgin' is one of six medieval windows depicting the life of the Virgin Mary. In this window, Mary is receiving the news that she will give birth to the Christ Child. Devotion to the Virgin was common throughout Europe in the middle ages and particularly so in England, where this window was made. 'Annunciation...' features painted glass in the 'Decorated' style, notable for it's elegance and relative sophistication. Window transfers fix to a surface by static, are fully repositionable and leave no residue - just peel off the backing sheet and smooth on to a clean dry window.
