What is Anodesyn Ointment? Anodesyn Ointment is a cream that helps to treat and relieve irritation and pain caused by piles (external hemorrhoids) and helps to heal the area that is affected. What are piles (external hemorrhoids)? Piles (external hemorrhoids) are blood vessels that are enlarged and can be found in and around the intrarectal area (bottom). These blood vessels won’t always cause discomfort and hence can easily go unnoticed. However, some symptoms that can be experienced are listed below: • Bleeding after stool passes. • Swelling and lump around the anus. • Painful or itchy anus. How Does Anodesyn Ointment Work? Anodesyn Ointment contains two active ingredients 1. Lidocaine: an anesthetic that relieves pain. 2. Allantoin: helps with the healing of the affected area. How to use it? • Wash your hands carefully after and before use. • Wash the area that is affected with tepid (lukewarm) water. • Dry the area and apply the ointment with a finger, lint, or gauze. • Reapply if required.
