Bronze, edition of 2516.5" x 8" Some sage advice came from a 90+ year old vet on a 10 day, 100 mile ride Greg and he were on. The vet had made the ride sixty years in a row. The ve t told him, "While watering horses when riding in rough terrain at high altitude, limit a horse to nine flicks of the ear to keep your mount sound and sane." That is a little salt of the earth truth - a little gem - because a horse's ears flick with each pull of water they take in. There is a peacefulness to watching a horse water - they are so graceful. Nine pulls: nine flicks of the ear. Some sage advice came from a 90+ year old vet on a 10 day, 100 mile ride Greg and he were on. The vet had made the ride sixty years in a row.
