Exquisitely pretty antique ruby and diamond crown ring comprised a pear-shaped facetted ruby with pink tones surrounded by 11 single cut diamonds. The crown radiates upwards with f our silver prongs topped with 4 diamonds grain set in silver. The patterned shoulders continue to a fine graduated band. The band is a low rise, half hoop and stamped 15ct gold. The setting is open backed to allow pleasing refraction of light through the facets. Circa 1860. Metal : Marked 15ct Yellow gold band. Band graduated from 3.09mm to1.14 mm wide Stones set in silver.
