Our Stock # LFA-1158 This is an Antique, adjustable reading table or duet stand dating to c.1870 A wonderful example of Victorian library furniture, this piece has a variety or use s; hall or side table, bed table, music stand or lectern. Fully configurable, the top surface slides for comfort as well as offering a generous vertical adjustment to suit standing use as a lectern or duet music stand. A single bar with brass pins can be located either side into the brass bushes to support the book or score. Made entirely from mahogany with a light, aged tone, the quatrefoil base is raised on the original castors within flat bun feet and a single, octagonal, tapered pilaster provides a stable support for the top. Superb quality and a stunning piece presented in good antique condition. Solid joints and construction. Delivered waxed & polished ready for the home.
