Did you see the pink bows?? This Fantastic antique Carl Thieme German Dresden centerpiece compote with the colorful flowers and pink bows is a DREAM! Beautifully hand painted porce lain featuring high relief footed base and reticulated scalloped bowl with swags of flowers and pink bows inside with applied flowers adorning the outside of the bowl and the pedestal. 24 kt gold accents. I only see one petal of one flower that is is chipped which is phenomenal for a piece of this age and delicacy. Dresden Porcelain introduced its blue “SP Dresden” trademark in 1902…dating this piece to production circa 1902-1920. Acquired from a grand estate in the Terrell Hillas area of San Antonio. Sourcing the South and the great state of Texas for vintage and antique estate decor is my favorite thing to do...shopping estate sales, auctions, and charity thrift stores to carefully curate a collection of fantastic finds that have and will stand the test of time. It measures 12” tall x 9.5” wide.
