Hebei, circa 1860 This lovely table is from Hebei province near Beijing, with the original dark finish now mostly worn on the top surface to give a beautiful, characterful patina. The table shows some classic Chinese features, including the waisted top, horse hoof feet and subtly curved stretchers at each side. The table would originally have been used for serving food and drink or as a more general work or display surface. Today it is nicely proportioned to use as an elegant little console table in a hallway or living room. Dress with a vase of flowers or one of our oriental style table lamps. Show more
