This show stopping Victorian Ring contrasts bright and sparkling Old cut diamonds with lively rich red rubies. Made in England c. 1890. The ring showcases twelve Old European cut d iamonds with a total weight of 4 carats. 5 round faceted rubies with a total weight of 3.05 carats. All measurements have been done in the mount and are approximate. Eight Old European cut diamonds measure 4.5 x 2.8 mm = .4 carats each. 4 measure 3.5 x 2.4 mm = .2 carats each. Five rubies measure 5 x 3.4 mm = .61 carats each. Hand crafted with no hallmarks, the ring tests as 18 karat gold. Diamonds are set in silver, rubies in gold. The overall face dimensions are 15.5 mm N-S, 24 mm across, 6 mm of the finger and weighs: 7.4 grams. Size US 7.25.
