Antique Wood Rectangular Pencil Box This is a lovely, small, Antique Wood Rectangular Pencil Box dating to the 1910s. The internal dividers are missing but it is beautifully jointed with nice brass fitments. Originally used for storing an Engineering Draughtsman's drawing pencils and erasers, the contents are long gone. It closes via two brass hooks on the outside case. It would make a great little storage case for calligraphy, artist's paintbrushes, cotton reels, small screwdrivers etc. Approximate Size:- External (WHD): 20.6 x 7.2 x 14.3 cm Internal (WHD): 18 x 3.5 (excluding the lid recess) x 12 cm It is not without imperfections including marks and surface blemishes on the surface, staining / marks, and some wood splintering on the inside. However, this adds to its character and does not detract from use. The external surfaces have been lightly oiled and it smells wonderful, if you like the smell of Danish Oil...
