The Beeswax Oxford Privacy Latch Set has been thoughtfully engineered with both practicality and aesthetics in mind. Our latch sets offer a simple fastening option for single side access e.g. cupboard or wardrobe doors. This hand forged design features a small decorative knob which is used to open the latch. The latch bar is restricted by the screw on the staple provided. This reversible design is suitable for use on either the left or right hand side of the door. Care & MaintenanceDue to temperature changes or packaging, a Beeswax product may occasionally show signs of a white bloom upon opening. This can be buffed with a soft cloth to remove. Although this finish already offers a very strong barrier against environmental conditions, we recommend re-applying a small amount of our 'Maintenance Wax' (33002) periodically with a cloth or brush which provides additional protection to the surface of your product and further protects this from any harmful external elements. To increase the mechanical life expectancy of your products, we recommend regular oiling of all moving parts using our '3-in-1 Oil' (92337). This process is also highly recommended during initial installation. *Please note that where possible we recommend using our External Beeswax products (in place of standard Beeswax) in areas of your property where damp conditions are expected such as kitchens and bathrooms. Light surface rust may appear if using our standard Beeswax finish in damp conditions, but can be removed with ease using 00 grade wire wool, followed by an application of 'Maintenance Wax' (33002).
