Over 490 Amfleet-1 cars, the basis of the Atlas Premier model, were delivered, with most still on the rails today. The durable and successful design has been a fixture of train travel for over 50 years, and has been the recognizable face of dependable passenger service, especially on the heavily traveled Northeast Corridor connecting the major cities of the East Coast.
