Fenazon is a nasal ointment that softens and lubricates a dry nasal mucosa. Used for problems with wounds and scabs in the nose. Fenazone acts as a slight anesthetic and constricts the vessels in the nose. The nasal ointment contains wool fat (lanolin), which can cause a local skin reaction (e.g. contact dermatitis) and refined peanut oil which contains traces of peanut protein, which can cause a reaction in very sensitive people.
