Max Cowper 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿(1860-1911) was a Dundee born painter. He was employed as an illustrator for the Dundee Courier before moving to London around 1901 to join the staff of the Illus trated London News. It represents a project of a London religious magazine whose front page is drawn by Max Cowper.He was notably known for his illustrations of Sherlock Holmes.
