This incredibly beautiful and rare image was reproduced under Picasso's supervision by Henri Deschamps, one of his closest collaborator at the Mourlot Studio. It is based on a goua che, mounted on canvas, from 1946, that is entitled "L'Aubergine" (The Eggplant). The original work is located in the Stedelijk Museum in Amsterdam.
