Apophyllite is the crystal that looks like it is lit from inside, and this apophyllite pendant keeps that glow where you can see it. It is a natural apophyllite point about an inch and a quarter long, held in a hand-wrapped wire setting with a loop for any chain or cord. Because every point and every wrap is done by hand, each pendant is a little different. In eclectic crystal practice apophyllite is a crown chakra stone, worn for spirit contact, meditation, and the kind of clarity that comes from sitting still. Wear it when you want to listen. Key Features of This Apophyllite Pendant Natural apophyllite point. Apophyllite forms in clear, glassy pyramidal crystals with a bright luster, and this pendant is a genuine point, not a cut or polished shape. The natural faces catch light the way the mineral is known for. Hand-wrapped wire setting. The wire wrap holds the point without drilling, which keeps the crystal whole and gives it a sturdy loop. Each wrap is done by hand, so the setting varies slightly from pendant to pendant. A crown chakra companion. Judy Hall's Crystal Bible connects apophyllite with the crown chakra and with spiritual connection, which makes this the pendant for meditation, reiki, and any practice that reaches upward. Product Details Size: approximately 1.25 inches; varies slightly by piece Stone: genuine apophyllite, natural point Setting: hand-wrapped wire with loop Chain: not included; fits most chains and cords Weight: about 0.3 oz The Spiritual Significance An apophyllite pendant is used for meditation, spirit contact, and crown chakra work in eclectic crystal practice. Judy Hall's Crystal Bible describes apophyllite as a stone of spiritual connection, associated with the crown chakra, and it has become a favorite of reiki practitioners who keep a point in the room while they work. Apophyllite is a relatively recent arrival to crystal lore; it was named in 1806 for the way it flakes when heated, and the finest clear specimens come from the Deccan basalt of India. You can wear this pendant during meditation to keep the crown center in focus, hold it while you sit with a question and wait for an answer, or set it on the altar during any working that asks for guidance from spirit, guides, or the higher self. Its clarity makes it a natural scrying stone in the hand as well. Apophyllite does not push. It opens a window and lets you look. How To Use This Apophyllite Pendant Cleanse the pendant with incense smoke or a night in moonlight. Apophyllite is soft and can be sensitive to water and salt, so keep both away from the crystal. Charge it on a selenite slab or in the light of the full moon; skip direct sun, which can fade some specimens over time. Wear it during meditation and rest your attention at the crown of the head, breathing slowly and letting the crystal's clarity set the tone. For spirit work, hold the pendant, speak an invocation to your guides or ancestors, and sit in silence with whatever comes. Return it to the altar between wearings, ideally beside a clear quartz point to keep it bright. The wrap will loosen a little with years of wear; that is normal for a hand-set stone. Tighten it gently, or bring it back to the altar for a rest. Pairs Well With Apophyllite Pendulum with Silver Chain: the same crystal as a pendulum for questions the pendant helps you hear. Sterling Silver Curb Chain, 20 Inches: a sturdy chain that lets the point hang freely. Crown Chakra Votive Candle: a violet candle for the same crown center work; set the pendant beside it during meditation. Angel Aura Quartz Point, 1.5 Inches: a companion stone for spirit contact and altar work. Selenite Worry Stone, 1.5 Inches: lay the pendant on selenite overnight to cleanse it without water or salt. Frequently Asked Questions What is an apophyllite pendant used for? An apophyllite pendant is used for meditation, spirit contact, and crown chakra work. Judy Hall's Crystal Bible connects apophyllite with the crown chakra and with spiritual connection, and reiki practitioners often keep a point nearby while they work. Practitioners wear it to listen, to sit with a question, or to reach toward guides and higher self. Can apophyllite go in water? It is best to keep apophyllite out of water. The mineral is soft, about 4.5 to 5 on the Mohs scale, and some specimens are sensitive to water and salt, which can dull the luster or weaken the crystal. Cleanse the pendant with incense smoke, moonlight, or a rest on selenite instead, and wipe it with a soft dry cloth. Does the wire wrap hold the crystal firmly? Yes, the wire wrap holds the point firmly, and because the crystal is not drilled it stays whole. Over years of daily wear a hand wrap can loosen slightly; gently pressing the wire back into place fixes it. Take the pendant off at night and for heavy work so the crystal's soft faces and the wrap both last longer. Will my pendant look exactly like the photo? Your pendant will be similar to the photo but not identical. Each one is a natural apophyllite point about 1.25 inches long in a hand-wrapped wire setting, so the size, clarity, and wrap vary a little from piece to piece. Consider the photo a representative example rather than the exact pendant you will receive. What chakra is apophyllite associated with? Apophyllite is associated with the crown chakra in Judy Hall's Crystal Bible, the center at the top of the head linked to spiritual connection and higher awareness. Some practitioners also work with it at the third eye. Wearing the pendant on a shorter chain keeps it high on the body, close to the centers it is worn for.
