A very late-season, crisp, dessert apple with great flavour. Medium-large, conical, ribbed and very distinctly five-crowned (bumps around the eye of the apple).Red, flushed with darker red stripes. A little fine russet on the skin. Firm white flesh.Has a very good sweet-tangy, aromatic, nutty, almost spicy flavour!The tree is vigorous and hardy; it prefers a coastal, wet climate (like Cornwell).A very healthy tree, resistant to black spot and canker.
