Mandy Francis Oil on canvas, framed 116cm x 94cm x4cm 2025 I first came across Mandy Francis’s work at the AK Bellinger Gallery, and it immediately stood out for its energy, colour , and sense of play. Her paintings and bird sculptures are full of character — joyful, a little unexpected, and always exciting to spend time with. Mandy’s practice explores ideas around the overlooked and the beauty found in everyday forms. Inspired by shadows, unusual perspectives, and garden fragments, she builds layered worlds using paint, pastels, wire, papier-mâché, and found objects — allowing each work to evolve intuitively through the process itself. There’s a real sense of humour, resilience, and storytelling woven through everything she makes.
