A brilliant older variety of Apple that are sharp and delicious in produce. Fruit Tree Harvest: October Root Stock: M26 (dwarfing) FPM Bramley Apple was propagated from the original tree in Southwell, Nottinghamshire by kind permission of the owner Mrs Nancy Harrison. Fruits are bright green in colour, flesh is creamy-white with a sharp, acidic flavour. Delicious when cooked into pies, crumbles, sauces etc. The original Bramley tree is in a cottage garden in the Nottinghamshire town of Southwell. The original tree survived for over 200 years! The tree was grown by Mary Ann Brailsford from a pip in 1809 and taken on by Matthew Bramley in 1856 when Henry Merryweather heard of the apples. Mr Bramley agreed that Mr Merryweather could take cuttings from the tree and grow them as long as they were sold as 'Bramley's Seedling'. DELIVERY INFORMATION: This item will be delivered on a wooden pallet. The pallet will be delivered using a heavy goods vehicle and will need plenty of room to deliver as well as needing someone to sign for the delivery. As the deliveries are kerbside, this means that the driver will take the pallet off the lorry and will only be able to move the pallet to a close and easily accessible place from the road. The driver will not be able to wheel the delivery across any uneven surface such as grass, gravel or up or down steps and will not unload the items from the pallet or take the pallet away with them.
