Apples are everywhere in the fall in Minnesota, and we love them all. There's not a variety we won't make into applesauce. Each option has its own unique amount of sweetness and tartness. We aim to honor the flavor of each apple variety. Adding additional spice and/or sweetener is up to you! Wild Apple On a walk one day, we discovered a random apple tree growing along the road amidst some brush and other trees. Michael likes to think it's the result of someone chucking an apple core out their window 50 years ago. We don't know what variety it is; hence, "wild." This applesauce has just enough sugar added to cut some of the intense tartness of the mystery apple. The result is balanced, with some of that tartness still coming through. Regent Matt's parents have a small grove of Regent apple trees at their farm down the road, and some years they explode. We're happy to help put them to good use! This season's applesauce contains no added sugar, offering a pure balance of sweet and tart.
