Wall hanging made with repurposed cotton rags in the weft, set against a vibrant cotton warp with soft fringed finishes. Crafted using the generations-old tradition of rag rug weav ing. Weaver Estelle Bourdet works from her studio in Jostedal, Norway, hand-weaving rugs and wall hangings with inspiration from her rugged surroundings and Swedish-Swiss cultural heritage. Since childhood, she has assembled an eclectic textile archive that serves both as inspiration and as an accumulation of raw material from which new pieces emerge. Show more
