Sipping Tequila at its very best! Every drop of El Patriarca Añejo tells a story: from selecting the land where the agave pups are planted, nurturing them until they tell us they are ready to harvest. The cooking process in horno de mampostería, two distillations in steel and copper pot stills, to the careful selection of second-use French oak barrels, which we revive with the same wood to enhance their notes and flavours for three years. The French oak barrels have been previously used for wine aging in California. Before filling, the barrels were naturally toasted and lightly charred, using oak from the same barrels and a slow, controlled fire, rather than industrial gas or chemicals.
