Knit the "April Showers" cowl by Alla Saenko. The April Showers cowl is worked flat and on the bias, starting with a few cast on stitches. It is shaped into a triangle with increases along the edge of the knit. When the triangle is large enough to make a cowl, the opposite tips of the triangle are brought together and closed with a slight overlap, then secured with little seams. This cowl is knitted in two colours in stripes to accentuate the garter stitch pattern with rows of eyelets. The selvedge stitches are worked in the same colour from start to finish using the intarsia technique.
