Aquacel Extra Dressings consists of two layers of Hydrofiber Technology stitched together, making it stronger and more absorbent than the original Aquacel Dressing. This enhanced v ersion is ideal for managing moderate to highly exuding wounds and is approved for the same uses as the original Aquacel dressing. Aquacel Extra is designed with two-dimensional strengthening fibres integrated into the dressing. Although these fibres are made from the same base material as the standard single layer Hydrofiber Technology, they do not gel upon contact with fluid.
