Aquatec Permeate non electric pump is powered by hydraulic energy gained from drain line water which provides constant pressure to the membrane for ultra performance. Cuts drain waste water by almost 80% and boosts RO efficiency by almost 300%! RO storage tanks use air pressure to push water out of the faucet. With Standard RO units, the unit must force the water into the storage tank. This robs it of pressure and thus efficiency. With a permeate pump, the pressure from the rejection water is used to overcome this back pressure from the tank and to power the permeate into the storage tank. The result is a RO unit with increased efficiency.
