Now, we turn our attention to Aquavit—the legendary "water of life" from Scandinavia. Like gin, aquavit is distilled with botanicals, but its soul is defined by caraway and dill, offering a uniquely aromatic and herbal profile. The connection between Scandinavia and Northumberland runs deep. From shared latitudes to historical ties, our rugged landscapes echo those of the north. It was only fitting that, with our expertise in distillation, we take on the challenge of crafting a distinctly Hepple take on aquavit. Our journey began with a suggestion from the renowned Monica Berg and took shape through a collaboration with Chef Alex Nietosvuori of Hjem, a restaurant rooted in Nordic flavours.
