Her work is rooted in connection, culture, movement, and storytelling, often created on harakeke paper to honour memory, material, and identity. The hae hae designs along the sides represent the turns and U-turns we make as humans in order to return “on track” or reconnect with the main road. These detours are not distractions, but essential parts of the journey itself. The pou (pathway) at the centre acts as a guide—steady, consistent, and grounding—offering direction no matter which way life unfolds.
