Why We’re Sew Into 'Arabella': Its classical plaid pattern that can add visual warmth and a holiday vibe to any space Its neutral white and brown palette accented by deep pink Its twill herringbone weave base that adds a textural depth to the fabric Featuring blush-red and brown check on a parchment white backdrop, this plaid fabric is the perfect blend of elegance and homeliness. The checkered pattern is a modern take on the traditional plaids. While window treatments in this lovely fabric will never cease to evoke the country vibe, they will fare equally well in kitchens, patios, and cozy living rooms of contemporary homes. Draperies stitched in this fabric in tab top or flat panel styles will be fantastic additions to a casual space. Back-slatted roman shades are highly recommended for the checked pattern to be presented without any visual interruption. HomeSewn Wisdom: Give front-slatted fold style a deeper thought: The pronounced slat lines of the front-slatted style offer their own 'pattern' of horizontal lines on the frontage of the roman blinds. With a check blind, the chances for the two sets of horizontal lines to get convoluted are high. Therefore, we advise forethought when considering the front-slatted fold style for this beautiful plaid fabric. Mix with curvy patterns: Contrast the straight lines of 'Arabella' plaid roman blinds with the rounded silhouettes of floral and botanical prints in other room accessories to offer visual contrast. Opt for curtains: If you’re dressing windows wider than 96 inches, try Arabella curtains as a stylish alternative to roman shades. Drapery’s generous dimensions and flowy trails are particularly well suited to wider spans, creating a balanced and refined look. Start with a sample: Screens may lie; swatches don’t. Since colors in images can vary on different screens, ordering a sample of Arabella is highly advisable. This will allow you to see the colors upclose, and check how the fabric feels to the touch. Complement with matching accessories: For a custom designer look, coordinate your roman shades with other textile accessories in the room. Order matching runners, table covers or cushion covers from us, or buy Arabella fabric by the yard to create any matching fabric accessory of your choice. The Nitty-Gritty (Made Pretty): Our roman shades arrive with all necessary hardware, so you can skip that last-minute store dash. We include cord lock anchors for child and pet safety, because style should never come at the cost of safety. Each roman shade at Sewn is handcrafted by skilled artisans from India who pour care, precision and decades of experience into every stitch.
