A vintage sculptural salt and pepper shaker designed by Michael Aram. Whimsical pop art in style, this consists of a heavy sand cast metal (possibly copper?) hand with dark oxidised patina holding a detachable nickel finished salt and pepper shaker (refillable one end salt, the other pepper). A really charming object. Printed signature to base. Please see photos and condition description. Size: The hand is 8.5ms tall, the barbell is 12cms wide approx. Condition: Some light wear to nickel barbell around salt and pepper holes, revealing a slightly different tone of metal, some small dents, scratches and small patches of tarnish on the barbell piece generally. The heavy cast oxidised metal hand piece is very good, with some tiny spots of wear to the patina and the signed base is a little worn. Generally in good useable condition. Please see photos.
