This piece is inspired by a Papua New Guinea Bowman’s Shield. It allowed an archer to keep his arms free for his bow while carrying a shield. This version is inspired by Leroy Schm altz of Oceanic Arts in Whittier, CA. This is a piece of magnetic art. It was hand sculpted and cast in durable urethane with a high strength magnet.
