Arctic Tern is a hybrid rhododendron with pure white blossoms that are adorned with a very slight yellow-green hue in the throat. You can see from our photos that the trusses are l ike beautiful snowballs of about 20 flowers. Blooms typically show around late April and into May, depending on growing conditions. Arctic Tern is a lepidote with small 1" narrow green leaves. It does well in full sun to partial shade, but more sun will help give it a fuller growth habit. This adorable dwarf varietal grows to about 2' tall at maturity. Hardy to 0°F when protected from windchill. Show more
