The fourth and final bottling of the Very Young, Still Young and Almost There series. A real gem from 2008 showcasing the efforts under the ownership of LVMH. Ardbeg Ardbeg Distill ery was established in Ardbeg on the Kildalton Peninsular on the Isle of Islay in 1815 by John McDougal. Ardbeg Distillery draws soft peaty water from Loch Uigeadail and Loch Airigh nam Beist up amongst the hills behind the distillery. Ardbeg Distillery is a participant in the world famous Feis Ile, the annual Islay Festival of Malt and Music. Visitors are welcome at the distillery visitor center which offers Ardbeg Distillery tours and serves delicious Scottish fare in the Ardbeg Café. A blast of peat soaked in vibrant tropical juices. Toasted vanilla and sizzling cinnamon escape into the atmosphere with sherbet space dust and smooth Swiss chocolate spheres. The effect of the full ten-year-old maturation explodes on the tongue. An explosive crackle of peat sizzles and pops setting off a chain reaction of flavour explosions: cinnamon-spiced toffee and smoked chocolate limes fuse on the tongue. Show more
