Alkali Resistant (AR) Glass Scrim is an oriented fiber fabric. Scrims are often used in conjunction with fiber reinforced mixes to provide additional tensile strength in locations that will experience point-specific strain. When they are placed in the tensile regions of the product they can significantly increase the flexural strength of the composite. When applying scrim, you want the scrim as close to the tension plane as possible while still being fully encapsulated in the concrete mix. More than one layer of scrim can be used for increased performance. This scrim is produced with 10mm X 10mm (3/8") webbing and comes in 1 m (40") wide rolls. It is available in lengths of 15', 50' and 300' (4.6 m, 15.2 m, 91.4 m). Manufactured in compliance with ASTM C1666/C 1666M, EN 15422 and under recommendations of PCI and GRCA.
