Arifoğlu Good Night Herbal Tea is an eight-herb loose-leaf blend, packed in an 80 g resealable pouch. The blend is composed of chamomile flowers (papatya), lemon balm (melisa), valerian root (kedi otu), hops (şerbetçi otu), St. John's wort (sarı kantaron), licorice root (meyan kökü), anise seeds (tane anason), and lavender (lavanta) — all sourced through Arifoğlu's long-established Istanbul herb house. The product is naturally caffeine-free and contains no actual tea leaves. Evening table after dinner, the late-night reading chair, the kitchen kettle whistling at the end of a long day — the loose blend is measured by teaspoon into a teapot, brewed in hot water, steeped briefly, and poured into a clear glass cup. The steam carries a layered floral aroma; the cup pours pale amber. It is the kind of pot that closes a Turkish evening table rather than opens a morning one. The composition reads more layered than a single-herb infusion: chamomile and lemon balm carry the front of the cup with a soft floral-citrus note, lavender and anise sit underneath as warmer accents, and valerian root, hops cones, St. John's wort, and licorice round out the body with deeper, slightly herbaceous notes. Eighty grams of loose herbal tea typically yields 25 to 30 cups depending on the strength brewed.
