Aristaloe aristataAristaloe aristata forms compact rosettes of narrow triangular leaves covered with raised white spots. Soft pale teeth line the margins, and each dark green blade ends in a fine translucent bristle.Young centre leaves stand upright and show the clearest fresh green. They broaden and arch outwards as the rosette fills, while offsets develop around the base and create a dense colony of many heads. Mature clumps may produce tall flower stalks with orange-red tubular blooms tipped in green. The fine leaf-end bristles, dotted surface and repeated small rosettes remain visible even when the plant has spread well beyond its original head. Show more
